I was a soldier in the US Army and got the chance of visiting AL-Khobar.... Like much of the Middle East .. It is a very arrid and dry from the heat that comes from the desert.... not a fun to be if you do not hydrate properly... i dont know if you are asking this question because of plans of a future trip but if you are, here are some things to remember: drink about a gallon of water a day minimum..(dont worry you will sweat it out)..... dont worry sunscreen except for you hands and maybe your face and the back of your neck.... wear layered long sleeve clothing... i know it does not make a whole of sense... but your sweat will cool your body.. trust me it is tried and true... if you are going over there; start hydration about 30 days before you get there and you should be somewhat acclimated... i can tell you from personal experience that it got up to 132 degrees F one day when i was there..

Hot and humid; bloody awful. I once lived across the border from there, in Qatar, where it's the same. You get occasional early morning frosts in January and February, but in summer it often gets up to 48C with 100% humidity. This is a dangerous situation, as your body has no way to cool down if you're outdoors. I was lucky enough to live and work indoors where there was air conditioning, but every summer labourers used to collapse and die with heat exhaustion. Once your body temperature gets up to 40C you're in serious trouble and you need a lot of icy water quickly.
