sounds like a dumb question I imagine it might pinch a little but how bad is it?

--make sure it goes in vertical
NOT at an angle
or you'll get a "flap" of tongue skin.

Well the pain is not the issue. Consult your physician on the piercing of the mucos membranes and the dangers. I did this with my oldest son and the doctor's advice was that it is ok to pierce any part of the body for decoration except for the mucos membranes, lining of the mouth, nose, tongue etc. He even said that the Prince Albert is ok. Make up your own mind but at least listen to the people that have to treat you when you develope the problems associated with piercing the mucos membranes. My son listened and made up his own mind maybe u should to.

i got mine pierced years ago but have since taken it out. from what i remember, when they put the needle thru my tongue, it didn't really hurt at all. there was just a lot of pressure.
the pain came shortly after it was pierced as my tongue became very swollen and sore. it stayed that way for about a week and a half. the only thing i could do was suck on ice.

I really don't think it is going to be a walk in the park. By the way when she's not your girlfriend anymore and the next one doesn't like the idea of holes in your tongue what are you going to do.

My friend did it and his tongue swelled up for almost a month. He couldn't eat solid food the entire time, he lived on jello and mashed potato's. He also couldn't have oral sex until it was completely healed and that was the purpose of getting one. Not worth it to me.

Anytime the bodies skin is pierced, germs and other serious disease pathogens can enter your body. First your tongue will rot and fall out, and then then whole body is infected! Do you want to Die?

Its really not as harsh at it may seem,the few days after are the worst part,mine didn't swell all that much,but my boyfriends did.If your girlfriend wants it done for her pleasure,tell her shes really not going to feel it,its seems better than it actually is!

I don't think you should do anything like piercings or tattoos for any body but your self. Think it all the way through

Of course it is. It is also a vehicle for infection. Your girlfriend has a serious screw loose.
