It was one thing when Simon was doing it. But now that Randy and Paula are also, it's just cruel and being done for ratings. It's going to hurt them in the end.

I don't hate it. That is how people are going to treat you when you hit it big and if you cannot handle that then you won't make it in the music business. I don't know why all of a sudden people are saying on all these TV stations that Idol judges have became so cruel this year I saw this like on local news channels and like on MSNBC and stuff. I think it is ridiculous they only said this because some rejected people made a complaint about it. What a coincidence that the people that make a complaint are the people who audition there knowing darn well they can't sing to save their life sorry but that is being brutally honest. That's my input about that.

I know it isn't nice to make fun of people but when you go on American Idol you really need to be able to take put downs. This show is for entertainment. Besides, some of the things that were said about some of the contestants was said after they left the room.It is only a persons opinion and as long as you have a good opinion of yourself then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or says.

I don't but a lot of people think its really funny...
To be honest I don't watch American Idol when the contestants start to get good and go to Hollywood, I find it really funny when the people think they can sing and hope for there big break...
The judges especially Simon is just mean and they seem to enjoy crushing the peoples feelings.. : (

yes. and i thought it was absolutely cruel that after the judges relentlessly made fun of the contestants in minneanapolis, the contestants couldn't even make a run for it because only one door worked and everyone chose the wrong door. the place knew american idol was coming to hold auditions-the least they could have done was make sure the door worked properly. its okay for the judges to tell the people who audition the truth and not patronize, but it takes courage for them to go on national tv and audition, so they have no right to make fun of the people.

They are trying to discourgae bad singers from wasting time on a music career. Also keep in mind that the producers only show you the ones where the judges are the meanest. For every 10 times that you see the judges being mean on the show, keep in mind that there were thousands before that where they weren't mean.

people who try out for this show should know by now how it works and what can happen...if a bad singer went to audition at a record company and was bad they would be told the same stuff, except not on national tv..and if you stink that bad,and if you do you know it,then you have no reason to be crying or fussing when they tell you you stink
