Self earned rich. The reason to me is because when you earn every thing you ever had, and have, then you are very rich of joy of earning every thing you have. To me it makes me feel confident knowing that everything I have is by my hard work and achievements.

I think that to really appreciate something, whatever it is, you have to have experienced the absence of that something.

This applies to wealth, love, happiness, etc.,...

So, if you have never been poor, I don't think you can truly appreciate being wealthy. Rather, its just a normal baseline condition of life and everyone has their own baseline.

Only driving a Honda Accord (as opposed to a Bentley) is degrading if you have always had millions at your disposal. That same car by comparison is beyond luxury for a poor person and would be equally beyond appreciation, if obtained, when the best afforded is a 20 year old single speed bicycle.

That said, I would have to say self earned is more likely to be satisfying, though results may vary as everyone is an individual. In my opinion, its all relative, as are most things.

In my opinion self earned wealth is more satisfying because you learn the value of things. If you're born with a gold spoon in your mouth and have everything handed to you, you lose sight of the value of things and think everything should be handed to you. If you have to work hard and earn money, it will be harder to spend whereas if you have rich parents who just give it to you, you will be more compelled to just go spend it freely. On top of that, most people (I am one of them) have to go to college to get a degree to get a good paying career. It is very satisflying and boosts your self esteem when you finish school, get your degree and then find a good career.

The one who is born into wealth will not appreciate the hard work that must of been taken to acquire it. He will become spoiled and take many things for granted.
The one who had to earn his wealth from nothing will appreciate every penny after knowing how much work it took to acquire that much wealth. They will also learn their trade as they go.
Of course, these are generalizations.

I believe that this wholly depends upon the character and the upbringing of the recipient of the wealth.

While satisfaction may be stimulated from extrinsic sources, it must truly come from within the person seeking it.

i do not hate wealthy those who've worked troublesome for the smooth existence form they now appreciate. What I do resent is those who've grown up in a wealthy kin and performance had the astounding issues that maximum youthful children might want to not in any respect get, like lengthy-distance holiday journeys each year to posh places, not in any respect having to percentage a mattress room with a sibling, getting their very own automobile given to them once they turn previous adequate to force, having their mothers and fathers bail them out every time they choose/pick the money - it is a vicious cycle that keeps properly into adulthood. i understand someone who's quickly shifting again with their mothers and fathers of their enormous homestead because they have got here across a job close to the area they grew up. For them it will be employ-free, they're going to have using their mothers and fathers' second or third automobile, received't opt to make a contribution to nutrition, etc., etc. If that change into me, i might want to had to pay my mum employ otherwise she couldn't discover the money for to feed us both. i might want to ought to take public shipping or purchase my own automobile with my own money. i might want to ought to pay in course of charges, nutrition etc. otherwise my mum couldn't discover the money for to have the both one human beings residing there. i appreciate those who've worked troublesome to get the position they're, yet regrettably the children of those human beings do not understand how sturdy they have were given it, and they are going to not in any respect opt to artwork flat out as they could always fall again on kin money. even as human beings born in frequent-income or adverse households will always be suffering for money and can want to haven't any hand-outs from mothers and fathers. it really is a vicious circle. this isn't any longer the wealthy human beings's fault, yet i imagine the resentment/jealousy is comprehensible. i might want to quite be wealthy and performance human beings hate me, than be adverse and not in any respect have that. this is only a minor setback of an otherwise wonderful existence that maximum human beings can in uncomplicated words dream of.
