During his first year, your baby is busy developing coordination and muscle strength throughout his body. He'll learn to sit, roll over, and crawl before moving on to pulling up and standing at about 8 months. From then on it's a matter of gaining confidence and balance. Most babies take their first steps sometime between 9 and 12 months and are walking well by the time they're 14 or 15 months old. Don't worry if your child takes a little longer, though. Many perfectly normal children don't walk until they're 16 or 17 months old.

All children are different. Some will walk at 9 months and then others it takes a little longer. But if the child is older than 18 months, and they are still not walking or even attempting to walk, than they should be seen by a doctor.

Different ages. My sons were 9 and 10 months when they started. But as long as the baby is working on it and cruising (pulling up and holding on to furniture as they walk) by 10 or 11 months, I wouldn't worry

I walked at 10 months and both my sisters walked at 12 but my mom walked at 8 it really depends on the baby.

Usually between 9 and 15 months. My son started walking around 12 mos.

The babies in my family start walking around 18 months ... but my Godson started walking at 9 months. It depends on the baby.

my daughter walked the week after her first birthday. But some children walk at 9 months, some later than 12-15.
there is no set schedule that any child will follow.

My baby stood up at 6 months and was walking while holding on to tables fully waled at 9 months but all kids are different!

My oldest didn't walk until 17 months. It seems like a long time now. But she's perfectly normal. She never crawled. She just waited and got up one day a walked. Right in front of the screen during Super Bowl 11...
