I will be moving to a new house and school in a week. I am going to be the "new girl" I am a teenager and the school i'm moving to is fairly small so all the kids have known eachother since elementary school. I am moving in the middle of the school year and I am quite scared. Please give me some advice.

The best advice I can give you is to be yourself. I'm 14 and I've moved soo many times. I've found that if I'm not too shy the first day and just be myself, people will take me into their groups right away. I just act like I've been there all my life, too. Pretend I know people. It helps me be confident. I've found that at the schools I've been really quiet at, people think I'm a little strange.

Here's a tip. Don't wear something too crazy or outstanding. Dress plain, but nice. Then people won't jump to conclusions as to what social status you have.

Hope I helped some!

I have lots of experience in moving to new schools. I have moved 9 times since I was two or so. The bigest mistake you could ever make is prettending to be someone else, always be yourself!! I moved to a small town this year with my my into her boyfriends house. everone knows eachother and yes everbody is very nice. So don't be scared and just be yourself!!

just be yourself, dont let people tell you what to be, dont be scared, you will make friends, so dont get down when that first day comes, but one thing i do need to let you know, is keep in touch with your friends....because since your like starting in the middle of a grade going to a whole new school, if something happens this year and you really need a true friend to help you out, your new friends arent the ones to look to, you need to be able to turn to someone that has known you for years, friends that would jump in front of a train to save you.....hang in there, and dont give up....

Just be friendly and don't make friends too soon. Scope things out and get an idea which group of kids you would be better suited for. Then start be friendly to one or two of them. You will eventually be approached by someone, but try to figure out first what kind of group they are with. If it's the "trouble makers" you don't want to get involved with them, because then the other kids will form their opinions of you too soon.

Be yourself, I know how it feels to be a new girl because i have in 6th, 7th and now 8th grade, and I wasn't really good at it, I tried to be popular and for everyone to like me but instead, i made a fool out of myself..... SO the advice is to be yourself, who cares about what others think about you, all you need is friends and to get some, be yourself.... (I guess that's an advice for me too! =]
-I really wish you the best.... good luck!

Just keep a positive attitude, believe me I know it is hard but it being a small town and everything should make things a little easier on you.

uh i know what that is like. yeah at first it is hard. you will soon make new friends but you have to go there with a good adittude and juss show everyone who you are. dont try to be anything your not because that will juss lead to a prablem of being called fake and sh**. but i hope you have fun at your new school and i hope that everything works out.

tell me what happeneds

Don't be scared. Be yourself. You'll fit in. If it is a small town, then the people should be nicer. They should be able to talk to ya.
