Just an observation...
The answers here are at odds with the answers to your "who gets into the lifeboat first" question. The majority of people who answered that question definitely wanted traditional gender roles. (Yes, different people...but nevertheless...)

- depends, but some traditions can and have been broken. -
i think there should be new traditional rolls that are best for both genders not one ruling over another. it should alway be a democracy. that is what a marriage is after all. alot of comprimising.
