I've had this horrible pain in my right side, it has been there since last monday, and has only gotten worse. It started my lower right abdomen, but now my whole right side hurts. I've been to many doctors, and had a CT scan and a ultrasound, but my appendix, did not show up on it. They also did a ultrasound to see if I had an ovarian cyst but couldn't find anything. The doctors won't remove it because my white blood cell count seems fine, and it is not showing up on any diagnostic tests, but the pain is constant and has not gone away. They said it could 50% my appendix and put me on a few different antibiotics and gave me pain medicine... I had a fever a few days ago and was vomiting. That has gone away but the pain has not. It hurts really bad to walk up stairs and to laugh, and do many other things. They will prob. do laproscopic surgery on monday, but shouldn't they be worried it could burst before then?!

Oh yea, I'm 19... So that changes things, I was in good health before all of this, and the pain has not stopped... It has been constant.

It's odd that your white blood cell count is normal. Appendicitis involves a buildup of bacteria, therefore a rise in white blood cells. Even if it does develop into peritonitis, it's not incurable. It's only if it's left for a long time that It'll become life threatening, and the antibiotics should help.

I had a pain like that this past summer. It ended up being IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). It could also be Crohn's Disease as there is a particular spot that is different for everyone with Crohn's... but there is still a certain spot of the intestines that will become inflamed. Honestly, it could be many things, including gas! If it was your appendix, you would just be getting sicker and sicker. You could have even pulled a muscle (which REALLY hurts when it is in your abdomen). The fact that your white blood count was normal does not sound that it is likely that it is appendicitis and does not sound you like have any type of infection at all.

With appendicitis, the pain is generally felt not only in the lower right quadrant but also in the navel area. You did feel 2 of the symptoms which are fever and nausea, however other symptoms of this disorder including the urge to poop and pass gas and loss of appetite.

Pain in the lower right abdominal area can also indicate that your colon is inflamed. .

Go back and see your doctor sooner if you the pain becomes more severe or if the pain is accompanied by shortness of breath, dizziness, or any bleeding (otherwise in your bowel movements or vomit) or high fever.

Go seek emergency care immediately if you experience abdominal pain that is very sudden and sharp; if the pain radiates to your neck, chest or shoulder; if you vomit blood; if there is blood in your stool (poop); or if your abdomen becomes swollen and/or tender.

Of course, at any time if you feel uncertain, it's better to be safe than sorry and go ahead and go to the ER. If you are not running a fever right now, I'd just stay cautious until you know what it is but don't over-worry yourself either! Worrying makes you feel much worse than you actually are.

I hate to tell you this but sometimes they just have to wait. It is bad for you the patient but until they know for sure they are doing exploratory surgery which is what they are doing on Monday. Just take the meds and wait. If your white cells were up that would mean infection so thankfully you don't have that. That is good at this point. So hang in there and if it gets to the point that you can't stand it, worsens a lot go back to the ER and let them give you something more. I hate this for you and I wish you well with the surgery. I hope it is a simple thing and you are well soon.

Once you leave the E.R. they are no longer liable for your condition. Should it continue to the point you can't take it any longer, go to the E.R. and tell them you need help now, not Monday due to the severity of the pain. They will most likely check you into the hospital and do what they were going to do on Monday. Don't take any risks with your life.

The ache might be at the r ight aspect. Real low.I went to the medical institution as soon as a whilst again pondering I had appendicitis. The dr. was once pushing on my proper aspect and I might scream everytime he might push down on my r.aspect. Without taking any blood or something he stated good it isn't your appendics.I requested him how he might inform it was once'nt and he stated it might'nt harm while he driven down on it however it might relatively harm while he took the strain off. So thats the change among appedicitis or a illness of a few style.

OK FIRST OF ALL YOUR APPENDIX IN ON YOUR LEFT SIDE!!!!! ITS NOT APPENDICITIS. PLUS IT WOULD HAVE ALREADY BURST AND YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD!!!!

But heres the kicker: IT COULD BE A SEVER KIDNEY INFECTION. I had one and it required hospitalization for 5 days. Go back in there and DON'T AMA YOURSELF OUT!!!

It could be your Gallbladder. Go back to the Dr or ER ASP you want tests to be ran. Like MRI....it better then a CAT SCAN. Please don't wait. You want more tests to be done. Don't wait.
