Marriage only exists to "bind families" and as a "sign of affection", and how about a spouse is technically linked to the other after they have a child? So genetics are what really matter. Think about what happens because of marriage. Huge loss of money to get married, and divorced. And if you don't agree with me, how about prenuptial agreements?

Actually, not illegal, that's a bit harsh. How about making it so it's harder to be married to prevent some divorces. Thanks to answers!

i think if our government and companies took away all the benefits that marrieds get then people would start getting married for the right reasons again, instead of all of the wrong ones.

I think it should be MUCH harder to get married.
There should be a test...
1.DO you respect your future Mother-in law?
2.Will you be insulted when his family implies you are a sl_u_t?
3. Can you be patient when his/her mom goes off at length about his/her bathroom habits?
4. Have his siblings had affairs ? (very bad sign)
5. Does he have his own checking account, with NO bounced checks in at least 5 years?
6.Do all of his exes hate him passionately?
7.Is he hinky when talking about commitment?

I think for a lot of these questions....Just let people do what they want.

Just because YOU dont want to get married doesn't mean other people think the same. Leave people alone and let them get married if they want to.

If it ends in divorce or money problems well then they'll have to find a way to deal with it and figure it out.

It's like when you were in kindergarten and your teacher would tell you "don't worry about so-and-so, worry about yourself"

I don't think marriage should be illegal.

And what do you want to know about prenuptial agreements?

If you don't want to get married, then don't. Pre-nups have their purpose, it's a matter of choice.
