Marriage only exists to "bind families" and as a "sign of affection", and how about a spouse is technically linked to the other after they have a child? So genetics are what really matter. Think about what happens because of marriage. Huge loss of money to get married, and divorced. And if you don't agree with me, how about prenuptial agreements?

Actually, not illegal, that's a bit harsh. How about making it so it's harder to be married to prevent some divorces. Thanks to answers!
