I think that leaving early is okay because you did not take the whole day so the company cannot hold that against you. The next thing is that you can make a good case for yourself by saying that you are suddenly ill or an emergency has suddenly arised.
I cant think of any cons to leaving early.

Not unless it is absolutely necessary or unless you really don't need a job or a good reference to find another one. You are, right now, getting paid to sit there and answer questions in here. Seems to me you may be leaving anyway via being fired.
