can someone help me my window is frozen and i can't close it i am wondering if i should use salt but what type of salt is needed???please help ASAP!!!!!

Hey, is is wood or metal or (doubtfully) vinyl frame? I dont think salt is going to work, might make it worse. Also, if it is freezing outside, water might make it worse too if you pour warm water on it . I would try and locate where the sticking was occuring, maybe heat with a hairdryer? Try tapping GENTLY around the edges to loosen any ice that may be holding it open- you may have to go outside too if you can and tap on it from both sides around the edge. otherwise, block up the space with something like a blanket, box, pillow etc. and dude, your'e supposed to shut the windows in winter time BEFORE it gets cold!

Do you have a small heater you can put close to window to heat it up. Be careful and don't catch anything on fire.
