My daughters father claims he is not working. He hasn't made a support payment since March '06 and is @ $5000 behind in support, which is over a year's worth of payments. Yet he had the money for a vesectomy reversal and his new wife is pregnant......? Please don't suggest an attorney........I've had four and my ex has "connections" in our county. He requested his obligation dropped in court back in Nov. '05 and still no decision! I don't doubt he is working, and probably on the side. Anybody know where to turn?

Not working is no excuse to not pay support. If the reduction request is still in court, the original order should still stand. Talk to the state agencies, they pride their selves on making a dead-beat dads life miserable. My guess is that when faced with jail time he'll find some money! Good luck!

Have you tried to find out if there is a deadbeat parent organization in your state? If not try to goggle "child support help" and you may find someone to help. Also maybe try the attorney general and/or a private investigator, maybe from the next county over since he has connections.

Introduce him to Mr Smith or Mr Wesson. actually that's no longer the respond, the DA won't be in a position to do something because of the fact formally there is no earnings. whilst you're on friendly words with a police officer get him to have a verbal replace at the same time with your ex, that labored for my sister, the ex will pay frequently now. the only way i will think of of having something is doing what he does: something unlawful and that i would not propose that, i'm specific he's not properly worth going to detention center over or dropping your infant.

Contact your friend of the court or child support enforcement agency. Give them his address, social security number and any other info you have on him. If they do their job correct they should be able to find out and deduct the money from his pay and/or confiscate his income tax return (if he gets one). Good luck!

Can you trust the District Attorney? He can not only find out if ex is working but can enforce the order.

well if you are letting him get away with this you need to wise up .you can go to the child support place where you file for child support and file charges on him,he has to pay child support until a decision is made,,,and they will never make a decision where he is free of child support.I know that there are places to file on him....Child welfare...start looking....
