-Lose passport before traveling
-Money credit cards lost stolen
-injured and stuck in a remote area before tour bus leaves without you
-In the shower at the hotel and you get soap in your eyes; you stumble out looking for a towel and you end up in the hallway; blind and naked, listening to the click as the room locks behind you. As you wipe your eyes on the curtains of the hallway window, you realize that you must get a key. You wrap with the curtain and proceed to the lobby for a new key and they ask you for identification....
Yeah, that's why I don;t go on vacation anymore. .

I think the worst thing that could happen on a vacation is getting sick. The person is bed-ridden all the time and can't enjoy his/her time. The horrible thing would be the absence of a doctor or medication. So the person either has to cut the vacation short or just wait until the illness is over.
Another idea is to hear bad news while a person is away on vacation. For example, death or illness of a loved one. The person can't come back because the airports are closed due to a snow storm!

I think that maybe a person entered a contest to meet a celebrity on their vacation, and they won. The worst part is that while they hung out with the celeb, all of their stuff got stolen from people who were jealous...
