The penis is not a muscle. The penis is comprised of three cylindrical tubes made from spongiform(spongy) erectile tissue. More often than not what happens with steroids is they take the place of naturally occuring testosterone(which is what weight lifters are taking when you hear the talk about juicing or stacking.) Since the testicles no longer need to produce testosterone, they stop, and since they're not used they tend to shrivel or atrophy. Ok?

oh, sweet day in the morning... where do you all come up with this crap. for 1, the penis is not a muscle, it is made up of vascular tissue, therefore it would not be affected by anabolic steroids... however, the testes could atrophy after prolonged use... anabolic steroids only make muscles grow in the presence of a high protein diet and weight training... they keep the body in a positive nitrogen balance (ie. prevent muscle breakdown/wasting) and increase protein synthesis in the muscle.

The penis is not a muscle, or a bone. Anabolic steroids will cause the adrenal gland cortex to atrophy. The adrenal gland cortex produces a limited amount of sex hormones.

I don't think the penis gets smaller if you take steroids. However, I know that the testicles shrink when you take steroids.

The testicles create the testosterone in your body. The larger they are, the more testosterone your body makes. However, when someone takes steroids, there is a surplus of testosterone in the body. The testicles are not needed as much, because there is sufficient (if not extra) testosterone in your system. So, they shrink, since "large" testicles are not needed to create the testosterone needed for regular/daily life.

I can only imagine the penis rumour is just a mere rumour. However, Steriods don't make muscles bigger, they just decrease the downtime, and regenerate muscle repair faster.
