Which of the two would you take for your team?

In his prime, David Robinson averaged 26 PPG and 12 RPG, 3-4 BPG. So don't allow the fact that he hasn't played in 3 years, take his glory away.

When it comes to the stats, they're about the same. Robinson may be a bit ahead of Shaq on some stats though.

But when it comes to the intangibles, David Robinson is much better.

IMO, it's a toss up. I think that the only reason why D-Rob doesn't get as much credit is because he didn't make the highlight reels as much and he never had superstars to help him out in the early part of his career like Shaq did.

I'd take David Robinson. The Admiral wasn't the unstoppable force down low that O'Neal was in his prime, but he was much more versatile, and arugably, a better all around offensive player then Shaq. I'm sure their rebounding, and shot blocking averages were fairly close. Robinson, has three rings, and Shaq has four. Both benefited from playing with the likes of Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan (who I think is a better player then either Robinson or Shaq), and Dwayne Wade. Not to mention they both played for some of the leagues all time great coaches.

Not taking away anything from David Robinson, who was a STUD, but Shaq was much more dominant.

Robinson. 73.6% FT shooter so not a hindrance on the court late in games. Less distractions off the court as he didn't have Police work, Acting, Albums, etc. going on. Less injury, Shaq seems like the last couple years takes quite a bit of the season off with nagging injuries.

i would take Shaq cuz of his dominance under the basket. Robinson is good because of his soft touches near the basket & could hit jumpshots unlike Shaq lol.

Robinson was the better player, but people today dont care about that, they just want to see dunks. Ask yourself....if you were 7'2 350 with a little bit of skill, u think anyone could stop you ont he court at all? Thats why D Robinson was the better "player".

I'd take David Robinson. Same averages, better free throw shooter.
