A police officer can arrest you even if you do nothing wrong, They will just make something up because when it goes to court a judge will always side with them 100% of the time.

A police officer is trained to accept some insults, like the words you used, as just part of his job. Some swear words could be seen as offensive and a possible breach of the peace. However, in reality not many officers would accept insults especially in front of other people. They would arrest you for another arrestable offence, probably where they only need to have reasonable suspicion that you have committed an offence whether you have or not. My advice to you is just behave yourself.

You can actually be arrested for using such language to me in the street. Who am I? I am the citizen. Thou shalt not threaten me in words or attack me phyically.

A police officer is going to run you in so fast you're feet won't touch the ground.

A young lad was given an on the spot fine recently for swearing in conversaion in the street with a friend.

Oh Liberty - where art thou?

Prob not for that in and of itself.. But i'm sure he could find another reason to arrest you.. any given person on any given day in any given country is breaking 3 laws at any given time...

Yes technically, not sure why its just something to do with abuse to authority. Although it's annoying how they can get away with it, some police officers can be so rude!

Possibly not, however if he was an ethnic and you called him 'black'! That would be different!! You could wave goodbye to your freedom for a very long time
