In the sense of vision?

For example, some people want to become doctors. Some people want to build houses. Some people want to become movie stars. But become people want to become things for different reasons. My question is, what are those reasons a person should want to become the President of the United States? Just for the money? Shouldn't it be about much more since your at the 'service' of millions of people. Just to get Bush out? But what if its someone much worse?

All of those running now, or will be running, will have specific reasons. But my question is what are the right reasons? Or are there no reasons at all? What is your opinion?

People all have causes to fight for. While many get drowned out by special interests and the sheer warlike atmosphere of the two-party system, presidents have managed to achieve specific goals that they have had in mind.

Money is mostly likely not a motivation; even with salary and benefits, the President earns less then many corporate execs.

Patriotism in one form or another is mostly likely a driving force to some degree. As much as we complain about and criticize or presidents, we must realize that the sacrifices that they make must certainly have a reason.

While its impossible to have Presidents be the ideal, unquestionably moral, strong leader, they're more than just money-grabbing panderers.

That's a very interesting question. Who ever takes it in two years had better hope that then present congress. can straighten out a lot of problems between now and then. I'm very serious when I say that things have gotten so FUBAR'd since 9-11 that it will take more change than the average person (no matter what their status) will be able to comprehend.

Not an issue anymore. All worldwide farces of any kind are in fact playing themselves out as we can all see. It's questions like this that help perpetuate an illusory notion. ( Har. )
