I've heard that they're pretty much a combination of Iron Maiden and 80's thrash metal. And, my favorite bands are Iron Maiden and Metallica. So, if any of you Iced Earth fans could recommend where I get started, that would be great.

they are good. the band is tight and precise riffing. some of their riffs are hard to play too. just try one of their albums. night of the stormrider. im not a big fan. but its good to know their stuff.

they have done some maiden covers,like number of the beast and i think they did children of the damned but don't expect them to be as good
