I would ban paid lobbying and make campaigns publicly funded. This would weed out the crooks in politics. The problems would begin to be resolved by people who are in politics to serve versus get rich.

I'd move to immediately reduce American troop levels in Iraq with the understanding all American troops would vacate the premises by the end of the year. Second, I'd call on Congress to rescind the tax breaks afforded large corporations completely. I'd begin to recall the debt other nations owe the United States and use that money to subsidize small businesses to instill confidence in our economy. Next, I might take a nap. Then, I'd begin to work on strengthening America's borders from within, while maintaining national integrity and the rights of all citizens. After that, I would call on Congress to create legislation to afford quality healthcare to every American citizen, regardless of income. At the end of that very long day, I would probably take a six week vacation at my new ranch in Crawford, Texas.

I would never try to do anything at all to "change ... the world" because I recognize that I'm the President of, and have authority over, only one country.
As President, I would try to push hard for a constitutional amendment that repeals and replaces the 14th Amendment. And I would appoint the absolutely best, most objective, most well-disciplined minds that I could find to the U.S. Supreme Court.
