Why dont they make a "fake" firmware for psp, so you can update it and it make homebrew allowed?

Like for example, right now there is 3.03, so why not have programmers make a firmware that allows psp's to trick into going into firmware like, say version 20.00 and be able to downgrade back to 3.03. Or even better yet upgrade to (ex:20.00) then be able to downgrade stright to 1.50. So would it be possible for Dark_alyx \(sorry if i spelt his name wrong) or someone else to do this?

That is a good question. I imagine it is not about the update number and it is more about the actual code in the updates. But it might be better to ask here - http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums
