I've been wondering, especially the part of "And birds go flying at the speed of sound, to show you how it all began.
Birds came flying from the underground, if you could see it then you'd understand…"

I think if we could see it, maybe we'd understand, I want to know your thoughts on this song!!!!

I love this song! The fact that it was beaten to the number 1 spot by that godforsaken 'frog' irks me.

I've always related it to evolution... the song, I mean, not the frog. To me, it speaks of time and how humanity is progressing, how even though technology advances we're still people with feelings, and we still make mistakes. I probably sound pretentious here but I don't care. :)

When asked about the songs meaning, singer Chris Martin says: "The first single. It's about miracles. It came from a time when we were quite disparate as a band. It was when there were tons of paparazzi everywhere and we just locked ourselves in a bedroom."
