yes,I belong to a Union. They gave gave me the choice to join or not when I was first hired Whatever the decision, the money would be deducted from My check, period.
On the few occasions that I had questions no one had an answer. On an occasion when I needed Union assistance they told me I needed a lawyer as they were already representing the other officer involved. Totally wrong! I despise Unions and what they represent, A few people who instead of doing there jobs eat and drink with politicians and lobbiest in order to "help" the working person of the union.

I did belong to the Steelworkers Union. It was a complete waste of time and money. Representation was a joke. Local leadership was non-existant. I'll never do it again.

I used to, and I felt I was fairly-well represented, but with so many right-to-work states, a lot of unions have lost a lot of their clout.
