This will be answered for you. Right now Venezuela is nationalizing all the major industries with intent to be completely socialist by something like 13 yrs from now. In our own country there are frequent calls for things to be nationalized once you have a significant number of core industries nationalized you are basically a socialist state. For example in Germany 50% of what someone makes is taxed and you get nationalized health care and other benefits. I dont think that socialism is a bad idea but many people I know who have had medical care abroad feel the care was significantly worse. Countries that have a democratic process and are socialist can be changed. The best reference on how society is organized is George Orwells Animal Farm. That book gives the format for which governments come and go.

Since it has failed in virtually every country that it was forced upon...no. The system penalizes productive citizens by taxation to pay for the loyalty of the nonproductive that it soon is more profitable not to work. And as more workers quit to freeload on the workers, the taxes must increase to support the slackers. This communal system was tried in the early colonies. Everyone worked, and everyone got an equal part. But what if someone did twice the work of another farmer. Too bad. They still only receive the same as the one who did less. In time the more productive broke away and enjoyed the full benefit of their harvests and profitted from the sales of the surplus. Socialism is the refuge of the lazy and envious. You want to reward productivity to encourage greatness. In open shops a good worker is rewarded by raises and increased benefits. In union shopsraises are given to workers and slackers alike. Where is the motivation to improve?

There are many Socialist and commie places for those who like the rigid style. Although the later day anti-Christians must be, America was built of freedom of choice. Alas though time is drawing nearer and nearer to the final years of your NWO, police state, gun control, secular religion, equal rations & gear, family separations, population control, fema gestapos for remaining Patriots and children being a ward of the govt. Satisfied?

Socialism is for mindless people who want someone else to be responsible for everything they need, do or say. Its for the brainless and weak. As for the future, China unfortuantely is the world model. Once everything is organized into one government, one currency, etc. that the left secretly champions.

I think socialism could work if there were no outside forces affecting the socialist nation. When there are outside forces, it seems to fail, so if there is no fair amount of peace upon the earth, then no, socialism has no future

True Socialism only works under absolute authority i.e. dictatorship. In the end people don't like it and Socialism ends up killing itself, economically and politically.

As long as it's not pure socialism, it can survive. Eventually economics will sway it toward capitalism.
