I agree - I was going to say good old woolies before I read your second line - their home gadget section is amazing and really cheap - and alot of their homey things like candles, kitchen and cookware, soft furnishings and girly things are right on trend! It is my nearest shop! Aren't I a lucky girl??!!

Woolworth's is one of those British classics, like marks & spencer. i love how u can get alsorts of stuff in one shop, and i'm still addicted to their pick & mix section, and always end up getting more sweets than i intended (but i guess that's the idea behind it !).
my favorite british shop at the moment is Lush. a bit of a girly choice, but i love all their stuff.

the best shop on the high street is none of them. when you really think about the selection of high street stores all of them are crap and do not offer good quality. the high streets are for poor people who will always get poor quality.
i really don't know why people part with their money to buy crap!!

I think Marks and Spencer sell good quality items and they have a great cafe that sells nice coffee and snacks.
