At about 27 weeks...by that time the sex had been checked three times and we are pretty sure she is a girl...
My mom couldn't wait to start buying things for her first grand daughter!!!

With my first one we started right away. We had the nursery done well before he arrived. With the second we waited a bit longer. I'm 33 weeks pregnant with my third and we hadn't bought a single item for this baby up until two weeks ago. There are still a few things to get but what is the hurry? We learned a lot with the first two. First of all, there is no need to buy anything right away. Second, most of what you think you need...you don't. People waste so much money on baby stuff.

I actually started to buy a few things before I was pregnant. I also went out and bought a few things to celebrate my pregnancy about 5 minutes after I took the pregnancy test. Some people may disagree with this but oh well. I bought a few things here and there that way I wouldn't have to buy a large amount of stuff all at once.

As soon as I found out...go ahead and buy a COUPLE of those cute outfits you're dying to put on your baby...not too many, you'll probably get LOTS of clothes...I bought y babys first going home from the hospital outfit myself. Made it a super special day an no one's feelings were hurt that I chose someone else's outfit and not theirs...Also go ahead and buy the "boring" stuff that you won't get much of but will need ALOT of...I buy a pack of diapers every week when I go grocery shopping and a pack of wipes every other week...this way you will be well prepared...

to be honest i started way early and mostly because i would see something on clearances and it was una sex like i found yellow onies one time at walmart for a $1 so i bought them but i really didn't buy anything serious till i knew what the baby was but if your not going to find out little things here and there are a good idea especially if you find good deals and then major shopping after the baby shower! if your worried about money then a good idea is the re loadable gift cards put like $10 or something each payday and then after your shower you have all that $ saved up!! After the 4th month. ..Then u will know what u are having.
Some people dont buy anything until after the baby shower. A lot of times u get sooo many things from the baby shower that u dont have to buy much. After u get your baby shower gifts then u can see what u are missing that u didnt get.

Id say about 28-30 weeks. A few outfits, painted the room pink at 30 weeks, finished decorating 33 weeks, furniture 34 weeks, babyshower 35 weeks, and I still have about 5 weeks to get everything else ready. good luck

I was about 4 months along. Hit all the sales. I would buy ahead. Especially the clothes.

I was one month pregnant when I started buying stuff!! I was so excited I couldn't wait. But it's up to you when you want to start buying things. Most people wait until the 2nd trimester to buy things because the rate for miscarriage goes down, but it's totally up to you. Good Luck!

I didnt really buy anything, i got everything from my shower, my parents bought me the crib and everything to go with it and my cousin who might aswell be my older brother bought the carseat and stroller and i got everything else from a diaper genie to a baby monitor to a bouncer and everything else including toiletries, if i bought things for the baby it was only cause i couldnt resist the cuteness of everything! good luck with your pregnancy !!!!
