He is losing support but on a very small level. He made many promises, yet hasn't moved fast enough to implement his promises, such as the environment. We're starting to see Harper move with a renewed sense of urgency now that the Liberals are getting organized and there may be a spring election.

I don't buy it. The Liberals, after a convention and with a new leader should have shown a big jump in popularity. Did it happen? Yes, for a couple of weeks and was barely a bump. Since then they have seen a steady decease to the point of a virtual tie with the Conservatives. I think the last one was 37-35 for Liberals with a 3.5 +- margin of error, meaning anwhere from 33.5 to 40.5 for Liberals to 31.5 to 38.5 for Conservatives. In reality the Dion led Liberals are losing support again.

No I think the Liberals still have the reputation of dishonest dealings and being an "old boys" club. No one wants to see them back any time soon. We need some integrity in the government for a change thanks to Stephen Harper.

Harper is a Mulrooney Jr - too damm cozy with the American President and tends to look at his role as that of being a branch manager to the US and not the PM of Canada.
The role of the troops in Afganistan has chganged significantly since Prime Minister Cretian put them there and that does not sit well with the public at all .
The whole idea of acountable government through his new act sounds like BS as they are already getting caught in stuff - so that moral superiority they claim over the grits is gone (if they ever really had it to begin with).
Harper is just a bad move for Canadians who are interested in keeping soviegnty over the nation so many of our fore fathers fought for . If you want to see the Mulrooney years of American dominance over Canada come back vote for the Tories . If you want to see Canada have a role in the world as a sound reasoned brain instead of ther mucsle bound idiots in the south then vote for the branch manager to the US aka Steven Harper

He's doing a good job over all but losing support on some of his political rhetoric.
For example, while we see images of how thoroughly Israel was bombing more than just the Hamas in Lebanon, he's taking sides in the conflict on the behalf of all canadians, rather than mostly shutting up with a statement confirming canada supports Israel's right ot defend itself and ais commited to a long term two state solution but is neutral in the conflict. MOST CANADIANS SEE US AS HONEST BROKERS of peace.
He's made some other gaffes that dont

To keep support in Canada you need to tell the Canadians what they want to hear, give them a cold beer and a hockey game and you can do want you want. It is like leading sheep to slaughter.
