There is only one reason which I've found to support humans drinking cow's milk. We have grown up hearing that it's good for us and that we've grown accustomed to the taste and texture. Otherwise there is absolutely no nutrition that can not be obtained elsewhere, minus the negatives. Calcium seems to be the major claim for milk. It can be found elsewhere in green vegetables, almonds, and many other sources. Why we continue to drink cow's milk laced with growth hormones, antibiotics, and who knows what else is beyond me.

Since I've given up drinking milk about 5 years ago my health has greatly improved. Fewer allergy problems, asthma and breathing problems greatly reduced, I'm sleeping better, and I have more energy.

Do some research online and decide for yourself.

I think it is habit, or people just like it!

I for one have never drank any animal/human produced milk in my life and it hasn't done me any harm.

On the other hand i have a friend who will drink a pint of milk with her dinner ( i can hardly watch - YUK!!)

there are two sides to this. One has already been mentIoned: that milk is a good source of vitamins.

Go to www.dumpmilk.org for another side. I have cross-referenced a lot of the info there, and I have found other sources to back most of it up. It is pretty interesting!

a lot, maybe most, humans do not drink milk. a lot, more than
you'd think, are lactose intolerant. they lose the ability to
digest lactose at a young age and never regain it.

milk is a good food source for those who tolerate it.

Habit. We don't need it at all. Calcium and any other nutrients milk has can be obtained elsewhere in the diet.

Calcium from dairy products really important for growth of bones and teeth. Also other vitamins in milk. Also have you ever had children? Often dairy products mainstay of their diet because it is the only thing they will eat when they are little.
