I'm glad you asked cause I swear about 80% of all Limewire users have no idea..

Seriously I can't wait for the answer to say I'm lying because I've been working in ICT for about 6 years for Mcafee and we just developed the Mcafee Site Advisor and the amount of information we found is honestly quite sick.

no. not safe.
the application may be legal but the files you download are of dubious legality.
also there are the potential virii, trojans, worms, spyware, IP loggers, keyloggers, etc, etc.
