IF she is lying? She has altered, changed and retold her story multiple times. No DNA, yet she said they left some in her. Fingered one guy, who wasn't even there. I don't know what happened, but rape/kidnapping ain't it.Now she's preganant by some other guy? Semen on her underwear not from the duke three OR her boyfriend? Even her friend who was there, doesn't believe her! OJ was found innocent with ten times as much evidence. This guy Nifong is gonna hang.
Unfortunately, when you are a stripper/whore you run the risk of ending up in less than ideal situations. That is probably why lawmakers have seen fit to make it illegal.
Personally, I think she thought these kids where rich and therfore an easy mark. She would make her claim, they'd pay her off and she would drop the charges. She figured wrong. Wanna know how I know this stinks to high heaven??? No Rev Al Sharpton. Even they know its BS and she's a lying whore. She does get an A for effort though...

There was zero corroboration with her story from the testimony of the 2nd stripper.
She's changed her testimony wildly over time.
The physical evidence point to her being untruthful. And the fact that the lineup only had lacrosse players in it, and the fact that the prosecutor withheld the results of the DNA tests that showed that none of the accused were among the 4-5 different semen deposits found on her point to criminal misconduct on the part of the prosecutor, Nifong.
Add to that the fact these boys were booted off campus and that dozens of faculty said all kinds of nasty things about these boys, and their lives have been made a living hell, don't people realize that these boys are the victims?
They're no choir boys, but should they have their lives destroyed for going to a party, drinking and watching strippers?
Or should they be condemned simply because they are white and come from well to do families?

Those men are finished. Win, loose or draw they are finished. Even if it goes to trial and a verdict of not guilty is rendered they will always be that bunch of guys with the stripper.
This is one of those cases where a defendant can't win. It is a bit like a loaded question. For example, how would you answer this?
Are you still dealing cocaine out of your kids stroller at the park?
I you answer yes, you are guilty. If you answer no, then you were guilty.
This woman has these guys between a rock and a hard place and there is NO WAY they can clear their name. Even if she recants the whole story, there will be people who think she was bought off or scared off and some of them will be in a position to print it.
Basically, I sure hope they did it because I believe they will pay for it whether convicted or not.

I wasn't there so I can't comment on what was or wasn't said at the party. What I can say is that it appears that the D.A. went so far out on a public limb that he trapped himself in his own politically motivated rhetoric.
It is unlikely that with a case so heavily heavily tainted by Prosecutorial miscondect that: A) No jury is going to convit those kids in light of whats been coming out. B) We will never really get to the truth of what happened that night.
The reality is here that it is better to let a guilty man go free, than to lock up and ruin an innocent man's life.
The other thing to consider - it is LIKELY that no rape occurred. These kids are racking up enormus legal bills defending themselves in a case where the Proscecuter "cheated" to try an get a conviction in order to save face.
It's time to let these kids get on with their lives. There is no hope getting to the bottom of this sorry sordid tale at this point.

It should'nt have happen to begin with. The huge media ate this one up and that caused problems as well. Once the press gets a hold of it all hell breaks loose.
As to the matter of truth, I'll never know. The only people that know that are those that were there and the lady when it happened.

Noone is 100% innocent. Guys who get together with a woman who has the tendency to sexually arouse men, people seem to lose their common sense and go with what feels good.
Men are human, and i don't doubt that they didnt attempt to get themselves some free sex no matter what the cost.

I think it was a conspiracy to make it look like a conspiracy.
But really, there are some irrational people who will want these guys guilty no matter what. Oh the irony in that.
