I have the same type of parents you have; they trust me, but occasionally won't let me go to slumber parties. I normally talk to them honestly and find out the reasons why. You might be surprised by their reasons. After, I give them my opinions and we make a fair agreement. But, the number one thing to do in these talks is to understand each other.

First of all, wihtout knowing an age I can't really help you. Second of all, your parents trust you but do they trust your friends or their intentions on the whole "what if" scenario? Third, try seeing it from their standpoint, you are their child and they only want the best for you but alot of time us parents don't realize how much we are keeping our children away from having a healthy and sane life.
So you are trying to find someone to reason with you on what you should do and or say to try and persuade your parents into saying "yes?" Well let me tell ya, it might not happen! If your parents are putting a kabosh on the slumber party thing now, it isn't gonna change later. Also, don't even think about playing one parent against the other because it just blows up in your face in the end!
What I have tried before I became a parent was asking my parents why they won't let me go to the slumber party? What can I do to change their minds is what I had to figure out. Usually, things did not go my way but things change. My parents were strict and usually unforgiving but yourjob is to reason with your parental units as a family and not lose your temper and get angry. If in the end, they still say no, just remember there will always be another slumber party and another chance for you to practice coercion.

Your parents don't trust you if they aren't letting you go to the party. Maybe you should give them the address of where you're going to be and stuff. You should be a sweetheart this week, or until the party comes. I bet if you see that you're being an angel they'll change their mind. If not, why don't you throw yourself a slumber party?Your parents will definitely let you go to that one since it IS your house, right?Have fun.

Sit down with them and have a decent conversation about why they don't want you to go, ask them politely what the reasons are. Did you do something wrong? Or maybe your parents know or see something that they don’t approve of and you don't know. maybe they are worried about what goes on in the party. If they have no particular reason like they just want you to spend time with the family for example, tell them that it would really mean a lot to you if they allowed you to go and that you don’t have a chance to do it everyday but you can make-up family time or you would do extra chores this week, etc. Assure them by giving them the address and the phone # of the party and dont avoid them if they call. Don’t go if your parents don’t want you to go, unless they change their minds!

If your parents won't let you go, it is probably for a good reason. I suggest to obey your parents so there is no friction. With what is heard in the news today, there are too many parties that become unruly with drinking and some violence. They only want to protect you.

talk to them, and ask them why you cant go. if they tell you the typical " cuz blah blah blah" then go to it anyways. lol no just kidding dont really do that but tell them your opinion and state why you think you are ready to go to a simple slumber party with your friends.

Just ask your parents why you can't go, then give them instances where you have done the right thing in a tough situation, blah blah blah etc etc etc. . . .
