my daughters doing a project and been to a lot of sites can't find them anywhere tried wikipedia and their links

I found it difficult to find specifics for the great blue. Yes, avian anatomy is basically the same. I found some interesting sites pertaining to bird anatomy and dissection that you may want to look at:

It will probally be difficut to find something specific to great blue herons unless you have access to wildlife vet books (even then probally difficut). But if you just put in bird anatomy--all birds have the same basic parts.

I have a creek behind my house with about a 10 foot drop from my yard down to it. Blue Herons fly above the creek on a regular basis, they are awesome!
