i was thinking of a black history month topic since in February is the next time the newspaper comes out...but what should it be about?

How about the reasons students should stay in school, describe the pro´s and not con´s, like foccusing in school will make them better prepared for the future, get pictures from the other newspapers regarding the way Drop outs have ended their lives for not reaching a helping hand in learning centers or organizations for the low income, I know some of us are not so financially lucky.

Have you seen Eyes on the Prize? Talk to kids in your school about the issues they see which deal with black history month. Talk about the role of black women in the civil rights movement and what the role is of black women today. Discuss why 70 per cent of black women remain unmarried and still have at least one child. Discuss the role of the black male as a father figure and how it is has changed and why.

You could write about how all the candidates are announcing so far ahead of the 2008 election, or if you wanted to focus on black history then do one about Obama's political career.
