I get these sometimes, I'll just be sitting watching TV or reading and boom it hits me like a slippery fish.

As you said, sometimes they are just random. I suffered nosebleeds every single day for about 5/6 years and no-one could explain it.
I eventually got my nose cauterized and I have not had a single random nosebleed since. (This was about 15 years ago and I have had about 4 nosebleeds in total since then!)
It is a simple painless procedure and definetly worth looking into having it done.

If you're really cold you can get a bloody nose. Or maybe if you've ever broken your nose your nasal passage could be messed up and bleed a lot. Also if you have really bad sinuses that could do it as well. Thats the reason lots of people get a nose job, because of their noses bleeding.

Sometimes they happen if the air is too dry in your house, but sometimes just random. Your doctor can cauterize the blood vessel to make it stop. It's not as bad as it sounds.

If you're taking aspirin or some other blood thinner it may well make your nostril bleed in case your blood is simply too skinny. If your nostrils get too dry on the way to additionally motive your nostril to bleed. Take care.

Blood pressure can cause bloody noses. Usually high blood pressure. Have you checked yours lately?

Either a weak blood vessel in your nose, or high blood pressure.

Or you are doing a lot of coke.

I use to get them. I now put vaseline in my nose to moisten the membranes and it has helped.

I have never gone to the doctor for this.

You have Hipersensitive receptors in your nose they are more sensitive than normal and sunlight or other things that interact might make it bleed
