american idol last season?

does anyone besides me think simon was right about one thing, last season, that taylor hicks sucks?

His dancing was interesting and his getting into the number but take that away and his singing was below par..I didn't care for it at all ..often out of tune and pitchy.

I actually liked him. But, I preferred chris daughtry's style of singing. Hey, everybody has different taste. Taylor was NEVER on the bottom 3. I doubt his family accounted for the millions of calls he got.

As far as criticism, they have ALWAYS been harsh. That is what got the show soooooo talked about from day one. Simon is especially clever at putting you down.

The show keeps getting higher ratings every year.

I like him aswell. He is does not posess the typical predicted look for a winner, he's pretty old and graying. Shows that talent comes in many forms.

And as a side note, American Idol has gone way too far this season with the critisism.

It was a personality contest. It certainly couldn't have been about the singing. Or he had a lot of relatives in his hometown phoning in votes.

I think that the talent of last season (with exception of Daughtry and McPhee) was less than 2nd rate. Although they stood out, I don't think either one of them was exceptional. It was a lackluster season.
