every woman in germany can drive a stick,whu cant the girls here?

Hey Bubba, I'm a WOMAN, and I can drive a stick. In fact a stick shift is my preference because you can't beat the acceleration, or fuel efficiency vs. an automatic of the same model.
I'm also quite proficient with motorcycles as the KLX300R and the Harley Roadster that are in storage waiting for Spring can attest too. I learned to ride on a Knucklehead, loved the suicide clutch
Be careful making such broad judgements (no bad pun intended)

Because they were not taught to drive one. Most fathers don't want to risk having the transmission damaged by teaching their wife not to mention their daughter, --so they teach with a car that is automatic. Most homes here have two to three cars---including what I collect I have 12. Funny when I was in Germany last year most didn't even have a car--let alone a drivers license

I guess because most women were taught to drive an automatic and have never driven a straight stick.There is also a lot of men that have never driven a straight stick....

I'll bet the same could be said for most men as well. Probably most vehicles excepting for sports cars do not come with a stick shift.

Because stick shift is common in Germany, while it's not in the US.

I can drive a stick, but I don't like to. But I can still drive one and it has nothing to do with my gender.

Well, I can and the majority of my friends can too. I guess it depends on what part of the country you live in. Around here, there's a lot of farming going on.

my wife drives an 18 speed and when offered an auto turned it down,lots of women drive standards.
so we should ask ,WHY do all german men wear leaderhosen
