to me it's a tossup between 2 bands and 1 of em is 90's alternative
my all time fav artist/band is The Edwin McCain Band and the song of his that is my fav is called "Kentucky" it's on the Far From Over cd
2nd choice is a 90's alternative band called Toad The Wet Sprocket
My fav song of theirs is called "Something to Say" the song is on the Fear album
Both songs are ballads with beautiful lyrical imagery (meaning if you close your eyes tilt your head back and try to imagine the place or the feeling the artists in the songs are singing about you can almost feel like you are there)

Nine Inch Nails has to be my all time favorite band. It's hard to pick only one song as my favorite though they have too many great songs!! ^^

Mary is the best artist running now by far, she has got it going on and on and she don't stop. I love ALL her songs

Just about any song from Dance Hall Crashers (http://www.dancehallcrashers.com ), Mustard Plug (http://www.mustardplug.com/), or Pitch Black NZ, (http://www.pitchblack.co.nz/) tops my list. But, of course, I have like 500+ CDs, so it's hard to narrow it down. I like many, many bands...
