If the bearing is out on the pulley, you can just replace the pulley. If the spring is broke or weak, replace the whole assembly.

just replace the whole tensioner, much easier and you might have some hair left when your done.

you can grease it, if it aint that bad, you should explain the problem a little. including make, model and year of vehicle. that will help get a better answer
