Here is an interesting link to nickel allergy, which is one of the 10 most common skin allergy causes. Interestingly you don´t´get an allergic reaction the first time of contact and it is more common in women than in men, since they use more jewellery.

Not that I could find & I did run search engines.. If you are allergic to gold or silver any of your jewelry you will know in a day or 2. It's not like your absorbing any of the metal if that's what your thinking. Hope this helps.

As long as it isn't lead or lead products. I think lead can absorb into the skin.
