Edwards might be the strongest candidate but I like Joe Biden a lot too.
How about a moderate Republican like Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island, Susan Collins of Maine, or even Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania?

personally i thought the best ticket would be edwards for pres and obama for VP, but thats not an option. So i guess i'd go with edwards.
I'm anti Chris Dodd b/c as a CT resident i feel he's not serving the state's citizens' interests and has his own agenda. Kinda Like JOE!

How do you know that Edwards won't win the nomination or Gore if he throws his hat in? The official candidates you mentioned could also be considered by the nominee to run as vice-president too. Clinton and Edwards would be a strong ticket as would just about anybody else. Its just too early to tell. Regardless of who runs they are going to defeat the republicans in 08.

It depends on who the Republican candidate is. If the Republicans can find a viable opponent (and so far they haven't) to Obama or Hillary then the Democrats will have to choose a VP from someone who made a good showing early in the race. If the Republicans cannot find anyone to give them a serious challenge then they will choose someone unknown.

If Clinton wins, she should take Obama. This will give her campagin more appeal among moderate Democrats who fear she is way too Liberal due to his popularity. If Obama wins the nomination, he should take Joe Biden. He has experience and shares many of his views on Iraq, which could prevent the GOP from using the " Flip Flop" card on them.

Both should choose John Edwards. He's got a good record and likeable personality. He has just enough publicity for Americans to recognize and like him, but certainly not enough to overshadow Obama or Clinton.

Good question. If they actually manage to make it through the long haul, they should look for a mild conservative. That might balance the ticket, but it's still early. Anything could happen.

Sen Biden . A very experienced politician and more importantly he is somebody who can begin to heal the scars the US has gained around the world thanks to George Bushes foolhardy exploits and disastrous foreign policy.

John Edwards. He's the smartest and has the most experience.
I just stuck a ice pick in my ear. I hate when that happens.
