Remember back in the day before hotdogging was banned?

I'm not even into fottball, but does anyone else miss that? I used to crack UP at some of the dances those players would come up with!

Q for the sports pros: When exactly *was* it banned?

Are there any clips of hotdogging on youtube?

I don't know how long group celebrations have been banned, but using props/the ball and performing while sitting/laying down was banned last off season

and the pregnant belly was ala the Giants (Brandon Jacobs, RB) not Vikings.

I seriously think the old guys on w/e committe decides these things need to take the collective stick out of their collective ***. They are taking harmless fun out of football. (their reasoning sucks too --because the Lambeau Leap is legal yet that wastes time AND could possible hurt the player or fan).

The N. F. L.: No Fun League!
My favorite was the Primetime Deion Sanders Dance.

I think the old Redskins Fun Bunch got the ball rolling with the league cracking down. Wikipedia says '84.

This last season the league banned props (sharpies and cell phones). This season they banned using the ball as a prop (the Vikings guy using it as a prgnant belly, and TO using it as a pillow)

Bring back the primetime dance!

***oh yeah! that guybelow is right. giants not vikings. I got my underachieving teams confused.

I miss it too. They aren't letting Moose Muhammad do his dance either anymore where he does between the leg crossovers with the football because apparently that is "using the ball as a prop". God that Deion Sanders one was great too.

I wish the NFL wasn't so uptight....
