Rob Zombie is an extraordinarily intelligent, diverse, and talented man. He does solo recordings, graphic arts, scriptwriting, directing and producing videos and movies.
He was always the main creative force in White Zombie and by the time they broke up in 1998, he was just done with the band thing and wanted to pursue his other interests.

The joint statement from the band, released by its label, Geffen Records, stated, "After 13 years, White Zombie has accomplished everything we set out to do ... and we all felt it was time to move on."
He didnt feel like he was being held back after his tour and solo album was released he was set to go back to the studio with the band. It was a mutal decision between all band mates.
