You are very insulting to call an older person an "old broad." Older people deserve respect, and you should be flattered that she considers you someone with knowledge. Now instead of being flattered, you should be ashamed.
Yell at her? That's someone's grandmama. You probably know 20 times more about computers than she ever will know. Think about her generation. And what's common in ours. The elderly should be revered and loved for the treasures they are.

Sounds like you "young people" need to learn the art of communication. It will make your life oh so much less frustrating. I am willing to bet you that if you respectfully state to her that you really do not know much about computers and perhaps send her to another co-worker who does, she will appreciate it. I might also suggest that you not refer to women as "broads", or do you live in a trailer park where that is socially exceptable???
You reap what you sew...someday you too will be "OLD"

Clearly, you know how to use computers enough for this service. To most professionals/young people, that makes you an ameteur, but from a perspective of total ignorance regarding computers, you're an absolute guru.
Just inform her that you simply don't know they answer to her questions, but that there are always hotlines/manuals/computer repairpersons, etc, to help.

probably, back in the day , there were no computers taught in the classroom. no technological courses. no Internet. no nothing. you were taught to type with a typewriter.
that would be up to the early 80's. not that far back. you could be honest and step up to the plate and tell her the truth.....that your knowledge of IT is limited, instead of using discrimination remarks. do you have a mom? what does she do? i wonder if someone at her place of employment is saying the same thing as you...........

give her a break
she's probably desperate for help
computers are confusing to some of us older broads
geez.......cut us some slack
if it really bothers you.....just tell her kindly that you really aren't as "in touch" with these things as she thinks you are, and even if she asks you a million times, you still can't help.
maybe she will get the message.
