Yes, adding some more RAM will help a bit, but you should really think about getting a better graphics card. that would help alot too. Celeron is a pretty crappy processor but 2.8ghz is pretty fast. If you ever happen to get a new computer, try to get an AMD processor. AMD is a gaming processor and is awesome!

Thats a question only you can answer! Depends on whether all your ram is being used! Try turning any apps you have running in the background, if the game runs better, buy more ram, if it doesnt, about the only thing you can do is either go to the gamesite and look for patches, or turn some of the game detailing down. Knock the screen res down in the game a tad.

a million. extra RAM will honestly help, as a lot as a level. maximum classes (32-bit) won't be able to handle more advantageous than about 3 GB of RAM besides, so going above 3 GB would no longer help your sport. 2. the type and quantity of RAM you should get relies upon on your motherboard. you would possibly want to wish to seem up what form you want (DDR, DDR2. and so on...), and how a lot your motherboard can help (no more advantageous than 2 GB, i might want to wager). 3. For some video games, extra RAM is merely no longer sufficient. They call for more advantageous processing ability, which extra RAM can't continuously help alleviate. you would possibly want to wish to seem right into a alternative processor as well (a three.0 Ghz Pentium 4 would properly be had for roughly 80 money, and would help even more advantageous than a RAM improve).

if you dont have a AGP or PCI express slot. then its time to upgrade your computer. all you would need to do is get a motherboard that will take your processor and memory that you already have. but I would suggest just to upgrade the mother board and get a dual core processor and DDR2 memory then you can have a pci express slot to choose whatever video card you want.
the more memory might help but it more sounds like the graphics card.
could try to turn down your graphics settings in the game to the lowest and see how that helps. but a regular pci slot is the worst to use as a graphics card slot.

Having 2gb of RAM will do wonders for your PC. The more RAM you have, the better any PC will perform. You can have your graphics shared memory max'ed and still have plenty of memory for everything else. Nothing slow the performance of a PC down (hardware wise) than a lack of RAM. When you run out of RAM, Windows uses whats called Virtual Memory. Basically what that means is when you run out of RAM, Windows uses an allocated space on your hard drive to write memory functions on. This is not only hard on your hard drive, but if you are playing a game on the hard drive it slows your access time down, which causes stutter.
Rule of thumb for XP. No less than 256mb. Windows cant get out of it's own way with any less. Don't expect to play games without lag or stutter. ***512mb-768mb can run better games but still some performance issues.***1gb-minimum RAM to run xp efficiently. *** 2gb=Ideal.
Go for it.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

In order for a game to function without shutter or lag you have to create an adequate operating space for it. This normally involves three items:
Processor
RAM
Video
The processor you have is ok and so is the video adapter. Nowadays 760MB of RAM is just not enough. At the very least I would bring this to 1GB. Really, upgrading to 2GB will help. But you have to understand that this may not solve the problem for every game. Also read this question and best answer that describes RAM in more detail:

it would help with the preformance of the game, but a pci video card can cause problems, depending on hoq many MBs the graphics of the game is. i think your carde is a 128 mb video card so it should be ok, unless it calls for 128 MB graphics, always go one step higher than what the games minimum requirments are.
i think more ram would speed it up. you will be able to tell the differnce once you get over a gb

RAM increase would mean the program has stored more data in RAM reducing its need to keep going back to the drive (disc?) for information..

Yes, it should, but 1 gig is probably enough. You should also upgrade your graphics card. If you have one integrated into your mobo, then buy a discret graphics card, it should make your games go faster.
