Everyone should have the right to be judged on their own individual worth, rather than their race or gender or preference entering into it. But it seems that when equality becomes mandated, by things like affirmative action for example, the party that feels "equalized" eventually finds that they're too competetive for "equal" to be good enough. You can't climb any further if we're all supposedly mandated to be "equal", right? And as a result, the inevitable occurs and they start to shoot for "above and beyond"...creating a hostile environment for everyone.
Do we need to find some alternatives to how we deal with this dynamic?? because, this ain't working too well!

No, we're too evil and selfish by nature to go two steps without looking for some way to game the system, step on others, and get ahead of them. I suppose you could call that "competitive," but God calls it wickedness. It's how we are, and no level nor quantity of legislation will change how we are. We need one who can reach into us and rewrite that genetic code . . . someone like a god.
