I'm in my fifties and yes I know what rock bottom feels like, been there done that, a few times, rock bottom doesnt mean just the loss of money and items, there are many reasons of why you can feel that you have hit rock bottom....

But I always pick myself up and go forward not dwelling on the past.... I make sure that I gained something positive out of hitting rock bottom.... Positive redirection in my life....

I started to say that unfortunately I do, but it's really not unfortunate at all. Once you get to the other side, it's not an experience I'd give up for the world. Yes, it hurts like hell and there is a ton of fear and doubt but it's one of the best teachers there is. It's where we stop dead in our tracks and make some life altering changes. Priorities become much more clear.

I'm sure many people have been there but not everyone will admit it.

Rock bottom is when you are waiting for the ambulance to arrive because you have opened up your arms, and the blood is pouring out of you. Now, YOU didn't call this ambulance, a friend who interrupted you did... you are at the lowest point you can be, not wanting life...not caring for anyone in it...not even your children...
That my friends is rock bottom.

Yeah, i do. Feels like a deep, deep hole that no matter how much you struggle you cant get out of it..and as time passes by you lose the will to even try..you just let the days pass and let yourself slowly become numb to the pain..and just be miserable basically.

If your definition of "rock bottom" is a pit of despair that envelopes you like a shroud, then yes.

Thankfully no.

I can only imagine that it's really bad, desperate, scary, and almost surreal.

I'm thinking because you are online and using a computer - you are not currently experiencing it either.

What brings forth this question?

God Bless Us All........

"Rock bottom" is stranded on a freeway onramp with one's thumb out, in the cold, at night.
