Big grin. I met a guy I met online, and he moved himself and his four cats from California to Texas to be with me.
We have been very, very, very happy together.

I used to be a collector and would meet up with others in Washington DC every August. I've met about 50+ people and have one very close friend that I met online. We live about an hour away and go shopping together.
Some of the people on met online I liked better online then in person.

I have one friend who I met online; we started by chatting, then emailing, then talking on the phone but I didn't meet him in person until I came back home from the military and yeah, it was pretty much what I had expected. We had already formed a bond throughout our communications and I found one of the best buddies ever!

I have met one person in life that I met on line, and she now is like my big sister. In fact she said if she would have adopted me if she had know about me at that time. Even though I had a good experience with her I am still careful not to meet anyone except in very public place and to not give them any personal information.

Yes, I have met several people IRL whom I first met on-line. They were all pretty much what I expected - you can get to know a person very well via e-mail.
I first met my wife on-line. We've been married nearly seven years now, and we are very happy.

i have met 2 people from online and one i already saw a pic of before we met and the other described himself so i wasnt too surprised when i saw him

I have met 2 of my chat friends and they were even more wonderful in person !! Had to travel to Europe to meet them and it was definitely worth it !!

a handful. and yes. they were within my city. and we met at the mall lol. we're still friends. you just gotta be careful and use common sense when dealing with people online

2: the first was a guy was a jerk, which I didn't expect, but I was naiive and young.
The second is my current bf of 6.5 yrs. He is what I expected and more.
