You need both kinds of friends.
You need the type A's--they're buddies. The sort of people you have a few beers with, laugh a lot, etc. Nothing deep, nothing superficial, just hanging out.
But you need at least one type B--preferably a few more than that. These people are true friends... they keep you honest and in line, take no bull-****, and know you for who you really are.
Sometimes I get impatient with my type B friends, because they're so serious, but that's my shortcoming, not theirs.
In the end, you will have many, many type A friends, and they will be in your life for short periods of time. They're pretty interchangeable.
If you're lucky, though, you will have a few type B friends who will be with you from the beginning--childhood--right through your life--career, marriage, kids--and if you're REALLY lucky, they will still be with you when you're all a bunch of old geezers sitting around discussing the good old days.

I like A. Shallow people are funny, and I don't mind being one of A's many shallow friends. I have enough B's in my life. It's good to mix it up.

B, because A doesn't know what friends are and may just follow the crowd, and think for themself. A few, quality real friends is worth the world, rather than lots of hyenas straggling about waiting for the kill..

Umm my maximum acceptable acquaintances certain, yet even although i appreciate the ladies I carry out with, I wouldn't totally have self belief them. It sounds terrible yet i recognize for a incontrovertible actuality that they in certain circumstances gossip about one yet another. both way is say I actually have some acquaintances who're both honest climate acquaintances and some who're like sisters to me.

B... I don't hang out with shallow people so I wouldn't be cool with their friends. I can relate with B.

I like B's friends, but I don't know anything about their personality. The friend's personalities don't make the indivual's personality.
