These gifts are for all the teachers at my high school for teacher's week. It needs to be inexpensive because my club has a budget, but I really want the gift to be thoughtful and unique. If there are any teachers reading this -- what would you want to get as a gift? Also can you give me a good website where I can find your suggested gift? Thanks in advance for your help. ^_^

I have a lot of ideas for this, but unfortunately a lot of them can't be used because my club members don't have the time/energy/resources to make the memorable little things, so we have to order from somewhere. Good suggestions so far, though. :)

ADDITIONAL IDEAS:
1. Compose an appreciative email and ask the school secretary to email it to all their work emails on Teachers Appreciation Day.
2. See if there's anything you could buy for the teacher's lounge to make it prettier, like a wall picture or something
3. Buy a couple of bouquets of flowers from the store and put them in a vase in the teacher's lounge or wherever the teachers go, and put a nice note with it
4. Buy a bunch of slice and bake cookies and leave cookies and other snacks in the lounge that day, (with a nice note)
5. Often businesses in town have some public relations money in their budget. Go to some businesses (Dunkin Donuts, Safeway for example) and see if they would provide all or part of a surprise coffee break treat for teachers that day. If they do, give the company credit--include a business card from the company and mention it in your school newsletter

At vistaprint.com you can order little note pads and stuff. You could place an order for 200, with something special on it like "Thank you for being a great teacher at ____ (your highschool). For an extra fee of I think $8.00 or less you can download your own photo for a background. They also have a lot of templates to choose from. Note: if you sign up to receive emails for special offers from vistaprint they start sending special offers right away and they do offer a lot of "free stuff", but just so you know, there is a postage and handling charge with each free item you order.
Another option might be from orientaltrading.com. You can order personalized pencils, pens, sometimes even balloons. You could get something generic printed that would suit all the teachers. If you got printed balloons maybe you could get a canister of helium and deliver a helium balloon to every teacher.
I have ordered many times from both these companies and they are honest and reliable.

Small baggies of candy with a note in each that says something about being a great influence on so many lives. Teachers need candy and the thanks. Each person can bring in a bag of candy and then the club can purchase the baggies, paper, and some more candy. The kids at our Junior High gave us all candy and put up a huge poster that said, "Staff, we appreciate everything all of you do for us!" Everyone loved it and it was not too expensive since the kids in the group brought in bags of candy. I know the kids spent a lot of time getting the bag prepared (since I helped and supervised them while they were doing it), that meant a lot to the teachers. Be careful though, make sure teachers aren't allergic to certain candies (like candy with nuts) and make sure if there are diabetic teachers that you get sugar free candy for them.

I don't know what your budget is for these teachers, but I would suggest put together a selection of school supplies that each teacher would use and divide them. For example, buy a couple packages of pencils and divide them up, 4 or 5 per person. Perhaps glue sticks for a couple of them, post-it notes for others, etc. Gather all these supplies in a small box or basket from the dollar store. Instead of a card, include a small picture frame in each package with your message framed for them. It makes it special and it everything can be used.

First of all DO NOT give them a COFFEE mug! I despise getting coffee mugs, they never cease coming...you could contact the main district office of Starbucks and ask them if they would donate $5 coffee cards for your teachers. Or go to the local office supply place and ask if they would give each teacher a $5 gift card...many times the local merchants are happy to donate as it is good advertising. I would love a free rental movie or maybe a ice cream cone from your local ice cream place. I want to teach at your school...how thoughtful of you to recognize your teachers!!!
