In my opinion, state quarters are pretty boring, I can't even think what is on my states quarter. I would like to see our mint honor the fallen men and women of our military by putting their faces on our currency, maybe the quarters, maybe the nickel.
The presidents on that coin gave up a few years in office for their country, but what about the people who were gunned down or jumped on a grenade for their nation?

I think money should be reserved for past Presidents and the Founding Fathers and MoH winners should continue to have buildings and ships named in their honor. A ship named in the honor of an MoH winner typically stays in commission 20-35 years.

there have been human beings different than Presidents on our forex. Alexander Hamilton grow to be in no way a President, neither grow to be Ben Franklin or Susan B. Anthony or Sacajawea. there have been others besides yet that grow to be on out of date forex this is now no longer in pass. I disagree with Edison,Jane Adams or Einstein. yet I do agree that Martin Luther King, Booker T. Washington or Fredrick Douglass may be good alternatives. yet i think of Ronald Reagan's fulfillment at destroying the Evil Empire of the Soviet Union and freeing tens of millions of jap Europeans and Russians from that tyranny is the main suitable determination. *

It's Medal of Honor recipients, not winners. You don't win the award, you earn it. It isn't part of the ethics of the military to promote individual medal recipients in that kind of way. The service is done for the country, not for personal glorification.

good point. why do we still have the portraits of slave drivers, rapists, and womanizers on our money?

sure they started the country, but the US has evolved to a point where their ideals are obsolete. in many cases, a good number of our past leaders would be in prison had they been alive now.

im from NY, and our quarter isnt bad, an outline of the state, and the statue of liberty. but i feel bad for wisconsin. "woo, a cow, some cheese, and corn. yeah were not a bunch of hicks."

I think it's a good idea. Don't know if it will ever happen but I like the thought. There are some soldiers that have the CMH more than once. Which is incredible !

I agree. It is an excellent idea. I like the dollar with the Indian girl Saca... You know who I mean. Presidents are boring, plus we already have to miss our mail for their birthdays. Isnt that enough?

Yes I agree with you, those who risk their lives for our own well being do deserve recognition enough for us to see their faces on our money to remind us of their sacrifice. Though it would be rather difficult to chose whose faces to put on the coins.

No....I'm very proud of them too, but how far back would you go?

To forget anyone of them from any war would be unforgivable.

No. But I do think we should honor them more than we do.

I think you should put the faces of the war dead on your money so then you can see the real cost of your "war on terror"
