The British have always been a mixture anyway.EVERY1 has at least 1 foreign ancestor anyway.Take me for example-I'm a Scotsman, born in Dunfermline,Fife.I have mainly Scottish ancestry, but there is an Italian in there somewhere, and a Polish person.I rekon if most British people knew their family tree, there is almost always some1 foreign in it,and knowing that would make a lot of peeps a lot less xenophobic!

Been waiting to answer this question all day,but for some reason i could not see the express's defence correspondent's report over the internet.I have seen it now even though i have been hearing similar stories for a while. So assuming this is the truth in what's happening anyone who condones it deserves to be shot imprisoned tortured or whatever as this is just not right. How can anyone born in this country who has grown up with British children as a British citizen ,accepted the British way of life (or at least everything given to them by way of the quality of life afforded to them by British society) go to another country to kill their own people.Because if we really do live in a multicultural Britain this is the last thing that should be happening. How can a person who is prepared to kill British citizens in another country not be prepared to kill British citizens in Britain. Its time for the mother's father's brother's and sister's of these people to act in the interest of their adopted country and sort out this sorry state of affairs ,even the love affair our politicians have with you cannot last now we are at this stage.

Because we have freedom of choice a lot of other countries don't...but I think what most people want of their country is their identity, the traditions, the pomp and all that is British, so we drive foreign cars, lets face it most of the car industry is being bought up by other countries. Eating Indian gives us a chance to try something different occasionally, freedom of choice...to cut a long story short...there is nothing wrong with any of the above that you mention, but we can still keep our stiff up lip...what o chaps and all that. FREEDOM OF CHOICE...we should appreciate this.

Britain was once a great nation. We showed the Japanese how to build cars and probably showed them how to build tvs too. I personally drink real ale and that is a truly british thing and all my furniture is hand built in Britain by British craftsmen.
A small part still exists and there are those who will stand by it and honour it. Ireland is part of Britain by the way. Economy fails because people want cheap goods cos their employers pay them dreadful wages. If you could afford an aston martin you'd prefer it to porsche. It's all about money.

Technically British encompasses English, Welsh, Irish, and Scottish, so there's nothing wrong with you going to an Irish pub.
